
Debut album of African guitar works spanning folk and pop by a leading female
singer/songwriter from Johannesburg, South Africa. Edi was the most important female
guitarist in the country at the time of this release. She played both electric and
acoustic guitar and wrote songs of strong political conviction as well as lyrics
highlighting feminist issues. The albums was recorded by engineer Kevin Shirley who
also helped produce the album. The title song became a 'hit' for Edi after being
featured as a title theme for the film based on the Percy Fitzpatrick novel, Jock
